While Carroll didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-23), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past the Samson Tigers 15-4 on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won five matches by nine runs or more so far this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Carroll and bumps their season record up to 9-6-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Samson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Carroll beat Samson by a score of 14-4 later that day.
