The Charlotte Fightin' Tarpons will challenge the North Fort Myers Red Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Dava Hoffer spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

Meanwhile, North Fort Myers entered their tilt with Fort Myers two weeks ago with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. The victory made it two in a row for Charlotte and bumps their season record up to 12-13. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for North Fort Myers, their record is now 16-6.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Charlotte hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.4 home runs per game. However, it's not like North Fort Myers struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.7 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down. Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
