On Friday South Shelby take on Macon at 7:00 PM. After both teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one of them is set up to suffer a discouraging change of fortune.
South Shelby made easy work of Putnam County last week and carried off a 44-20 win. Senior Brock Wood, who rushed for 205 yards and 4 touchdowns, was a major factor in South Shelby's success.
Meanwhile, Macon was the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. They were fully in charge, breezing past Highland 46-0. The team accrued the bulk of their points in the first half (40) and coasted on those for the victory.
Their wins bumped Macon to 2-0 and South Shelby to 1-1. Keep an eye on the score for this one : both teams put up some lofty point totals in their previous games, so things might heat up even more when they meet up.
