The Stadium Tigers will face off against the Klahowya Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Klahowya will be up against a hot Stadium team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. The Tigers put the hurt on Kennedy Catholic with a sharp 9-2 victory on Tuesday. Considering the Tigers have won five games by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Josie Pendergrass spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on seven hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ella Enciso, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and one stolen base. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of London Kim, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Klahowya). Their pitcher stepped up to hand Capital a 24-0 shutout two weeks ago. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.
Brooklyn Hart was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Hart was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and four RBI.
In other batting news, Aubrey Scholl was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three runs and two RBI. Olivia Keil was another key player, going 2-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.
Klahowya always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .615. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Stadium's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Klahowya, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.
Monday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Stadium has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .455. However, it's not like Klahowya struggles in that department as they've averaged .462. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Stadium got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in March of 2025 against Klahowya by a conclusive 17-4 score. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
