After flying high against the Taylor Titans last Friday, the Tri-Central Trojans came back down to earth. Tri-Central fell just short of Faith Christian by a score of 60-57. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
When it comes to explaining why Tri-Central lost on Saturday, one person who can't be blamed is Drake Ramseyer. Despite the final result, he scored 17 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Ramseyer has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. Stetson Newcom was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Faith Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Connor Todhunter-dawson, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Joe Peter, who scored 16 points along with six steals.
Tri-Central dropped their record down to 11-8 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Faith Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-11 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tri-Central will take on Clinton Prairie at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Clinton Prairie will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Tri-Central surely won't give up without a fight. As for Faith Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Tri-County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
