Despite the defeat, San Bernardino had strong showings from Henry Hernandez, who rushed for 97 yards and a touchdown, and Tahj Brookins, who rushed for 72 yards on only seven carries.
Walnut was led to victory by Demetrius Stampley and Noah Covarrubias. Stampley rushed for 121 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries, while Covarrubias threw for 218 yards and three touchdowns while completing 78.9% of his passes.
