Leigh has been on the road for three straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. The Leigh Longhorns and the San Jose Bulldogs will face off at 7:00 p.m. on December 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Friday, Leigh strolled past Westmont with points to spare, taking the game 57-43.
Caleb Asante and Cooper Smith were among the main playmakers for Leigh as the former scored 15 points along with 8 rebounds and the latter scored 18 points along with 8 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Asante has scored at least 25% of Leigh's points. Marko Miocinovic was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 5 rebounds.
Meanwhile, San Jose took their contest at home on Wednesday with ease, bagging a 74-18 victory over Design Tech.
The losses dropped Leigh to 2-3 and Westmont to 2-5.
Leigh strolled past San Jose in their previous meeting back in February by a score of 71-57. Does Leigh have another victory up their sleeve, or will San Jose turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
