After five games on the road, Evangel Christian is heading back home. They will take on the Kentucky Country Day Bearcats at 9:30 p.m. on Thursday. Evangel Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 15 contests -- so hopefully Kentucky Country Day likes a good challenge.
Even though Adair County scored an imposing 70 points on Monday, Evangel Christian still came out on top. Evangel Christian strolled past Adair County with points to spare, taking the game 88-70. Evangel Christian pushed the score to 69-45 by the end of the third, a deficit Adair County cut but never quite recovered from.
Meanwhile, Kentucky Country Day waltzed into their matchup on January 6th with four straight wins but they left with five. They rang in the new year with a 63-52 win over Highlands Latin.
Evangel Christian pushed their record up to 14-3 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Kentucky Country Day, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-4 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Evangel Christian against Kentucky Country Day in their previous matchup back in January of 2022 as the squad secured a 57-27 victory.
