Softball Recap: Plano Has No Trouble Against Westmont

Plano won the last time they faced Westmont and things went their way on Friday too. The Reapers blew past the Sentinels 18-1. That looming 18-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Reapers yet this season.

The team relied heavily on Lindsey Cocks, who scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Cami Nunez was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.

Plano kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are undefeated (3-0) when they post 11 or more hits.

Plano now has a winning record of 4-3-1. As for Westmont, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Plano and Westmont will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Reapers are set to face off against their familiar foe Sandwich at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Westmont will square off against rival Cristo Rey Jesuit at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
