Keland White of Landmark Christian ran for the longest rushing play in Sunshine State - South this season against Seffner Christian last week. White ran for 80 yards on the play and finished with 211 on the day as his team defeated the Crusaders.
Landmark Christian extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Seffner Christian, 45-7. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.
The Patriots' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Seth Johnson threw for 67 and one touchdown and RB Marlow III had 67 yards receiving.
Bishop McLaughlin Catholic's R.J. Perciavalle and Austin Meyers have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Perciavalle has thrown for 873 yards this season, while Meyers, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 16 catches for 242 yards. White from Landmark Christian leads the league in rushing with 641 yards.
A big matchup in Sunshine State - South this week will be when Life Academy takes on Master's Academy. As it stands, the Lions are in fifth, while Master's Academy is in sixth.
The Hurricanes took down Cornerstone Charter Academy 60-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Perciavalle threw for 39 yards and one touchdown and ran for 43 yards in the win.
