Peetz took their contest against Flagler/Hi-Plains on Friday by a conclusive 58-26 score.
The match started off well for Peetz, whose offense put up 58 first-half points. Flagler/Hi-Plains wasn't quite able to keep up, scoring 12 to make it 58-12 heading into the break. Although Peetz wound up losing the second-half battle, they still had enough in reserve to win the war.
Among those leading the charge for Peetz was senior Bryson Long, who rushed for 228 yards and 6 touchdowns. In fact, with 12 tackles Long was a force on both sides of the ball.
Next week Peetz take on Prairie at 7:00 PM. Prairie have averaged 58.5 points over the course of their past five games, so Peetz might be in for a challenge. As for Flagler/Hi-Plains, they will face off against Weldon Valley. Neither of these teams wants a repeat from their last game since each was dealt a considerable loss.
