After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Jupiter, Flanagan was happy to have turned things around  on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the South Broward Bulldogs  5-3. The Falcons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

 Ethan Cabrera looked comfortable as he  tossed four innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   one  hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than one  hit in four consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  Daniel Chavez was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with three  RBI, one  triple,  and one  run. Those  three  RBI gave  him a new career-high.  Christian Duran-Robinson also deserves some recognition as  he  scored his first  run of the season.
Flanagan's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for South Broward,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 4-7-1.
 Flanagan and South Broward could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage  in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. Flanagan will  challenge  Monsignor Pace  at 6:00  p.m.  on Wednesday down  193 places (336 vs. 143). Similarly,  South Broward (ranked 305th) will meet Chaminade-Madonna (ranked 50th)  at 6:30  p.m.  on Wednesday.
