While San Francisco Waldorf might've come up empty on Friday, Sam Appel wasn't going down without a fight. Nobody could stop Appel as he didn't allow a single hit and allowed only two earned runs while striking out ten over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances.

Appel and San Francisco Waldorf will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Drew at 3:30 p.m. on the 29th.
