The Jordan Red Jackets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 12th straight loss. They were dealt a 73-32 defeat at the hands of Spencer. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Jordan has scored all season.
It was another big night for Gary Gaither, who scored 22 points along with five steals for Spencer. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Key?shaun Sampton, who scored 12 points along with seven steals.
Jordan's loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-12. As for Spencer, their win bumped their record up to 9-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jordan will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Rutland at 7:30 p.m. on January 9th. Rutland is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. Spencer won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Harris County at 4:30 p.m. on January 6th. Harris County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 464th, while Spencer is ranked 124th).
