The Bristol-Plymouth RVT Craftsmen will head out to square off against the Upper Cape Cod RVT Rams at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bristol-Plymouth RVT is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 15.3 runs per game this season.
Bristol-Plymouth RVT is headed into the match having just posted their closest victory since April 10, 2024 on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Diman RVT 1-0. The Craftsmen haven't had any issues with the Bengals recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Not much got past Gabrianna Arrighi, who gave up just four hits and racked up 13 Ks to keep Diman RVT off the board. Arrighi has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than 11 strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Bristol-Plymouth RVT saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jessica Slavick, who went 1-for-3 with one run.
Meanwhile, Upper Cape Cod RVT had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 14-5 margin over the Vikings. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Rams have posted against the Vikings since May 9, 2018.
Taysia Lopes made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up five earned runs off 11 hits. Lopes was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
In other batting news, Upper Cape Cod RVT got a massive performance out of Amya Irving, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Irving continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played. Jaelynn Harraden was another key player, going 3-for-5 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Upper Cape Cod RVT always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .541. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .541 or higher in three consecutive contests.
Bristol-Plymouth RVT pushed their record up to 9-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Upper Cape Cod RVT, their record now sits at 6-3.
Upper Cape Cod RVT's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Bristol-Plymouth RVT has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 13.2 hits per game. It's a different story for Upper Cape Cod RVT, though, as they've been averaging 8.9 hits. Given Bristol-Plymouth RVT's sizable advantage in that area, the Rams will need to find a way to close that gap.
Bristol-Plymouth RVT took their victory against Upper Cape Cod RVT when the teams last played back in April by a conclusive 13-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Craftsmen since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
