The Bennington Bears have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 45-38 to Tushka on Tuesday.
Tushka's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tagen Simon, who scored 19 points along with four steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Simon has scored at least a third of Tushka's points. Tristan Gibson was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with four steals.
Bennington's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-4. As for Tushka, their victory bumped their record up to 8-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bennington will face off against Moyers at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tushka, they will head out on the road to square off against Coalgate at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
