The Tallwood Lions will stay at home for another game and welcome the Green Run Stallions at 7:00 p.m. on February 9th. Tallwood will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 376th, while Green Run is ranked 64th).
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 66-12, which was the final score in Tallwood's tilt against Kellam on Tuesday. Tallwood has not had much luck with Kellam recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Meanwhile, after only 20 points in their last matchup, Green Run made sure to put some points up on the board against Bayside on Tuesday. Green Run snuck past Bayside with a 58-54 win.
Tallwood dropped their record down to 0-20 with that defeat, which was their tenth straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 14.0 points per game. As for Green Run, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.
