The Martin Tigers lost against the Ingleside Mustangs back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Martin took a 46-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ingleside.
Martin's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rochelle Cranston, who scored 7 points. Kiara Gonzalez was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 blocks.
Martin has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. As for Ingleside, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-4.
Martin will be playing in front of their home fans against Winn at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Winn is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak. As for Ingleside, they will head out on the road to face off against Mathis at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mathis will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1472nd, while Ingleside is ranked 467th).
