Baseball Recap: Kinder Has No Trouble Against Port Barre

Kinder got themselves on the board against Port Barre on Thursday, but Port Barre never followed suit. They blew past the Red Devils 6-0. This was payback for the Yellowjackets, who suffered a 7-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Kinder's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-8. As for Port Barre, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-11-1.

Coming up, Kinder will host South Beauregard at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. South Beauregard will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Kinder surely won't give up without a fight. As for Port Barre, they will head out to face off against Iota at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Iota's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Port Barre's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
