Calais had lost seven straight at home dating back to last season, but  on Monday they dropped their record down to 1-6 to make it eight. They lost  17-4 to the Jonesport-Beals Royals.   Kayleigh Scott was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 1-for-3 with one  home run and two  RBI.  Natalie McDonald was another key player,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with two  stolen bases and one  run.
As for Jonesport-Beals, they now  have a winning record of 3-2. The  match marked their most dominant  victory of the  season so far.
 On Jonesport-Beals' side,  Melody Gray was  incredible,  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances with two  runs and two  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Brenna Alley, who  got on base  in all three of her plate appearances with three  runs and one  RBI.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Calais will welcome Washington Academy  at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. The Raiders will roll in looking for their  fourth straight  win, something the Blue Devils surely won't give up without a fight. As for Jonesport-Beals, they will look to defend their home field  on Wednesday against Searsport  at 4:30  p.m.
