They managed a 48-43 win over Providence Day. That's two games straight that Gray Collegiate Academy has won by exactly five points.
Gray Collegiate Academy can attribute much of their success to Quan Mcduffie, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds. Those six rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Treyvon Maddox was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Gray Collegiate Academy is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Providence Day, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-4.
Gray Collegiate Academy and Westside will face off at 8:00 p.m. on January 1, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in Westside's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. Providence Day is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Lab University Prep at 3:00 p.m. on December 27th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in North Carolina (Lab University Prep is ranked 15th, while Providence Day is ranked 30th).
