The Milan Indians can finally bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They secured a 62-56 W over Rising Sun. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the loss, Rising Sun still got an impressive performance from Brody Morris, who scored 27 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Morris has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ben Shorten, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
Milan's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-13. As for Rising Sun, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-12.
Milan's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Twisters at 1:30 p.m. on February 3rd. As for Rising Sun, they will be playing at home against the Cougars at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. That match will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Jacob Scruggs and Morris.
