Naugatuck has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Holy Cross Crusaders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Tuesday, Naugatuck came up short against Torrington and fell 73-63. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Monday (56), Naugatuck still had to take the loss.
Meanwhile, Holy Cross unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 78-64 bruising from Conard.
Naugatuck's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Holy Cross, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-3.
Naugatuck was taken down by Holy Cross 70-41 in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Can Naugatuck avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
