Oak Ridge is 9-1 against College Park since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Oak Ridge War Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the College Park Cavaliers at 12:30 p.m. Oak Ridge will be strutting in after a victory while College Park will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Wednesday, everything came up roses for Oak Ridge against Cleveland as the squad secured a 50-18 win. Given the War Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 542nd, while the Indians are ranked 1387th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jordan Daigle went supernova for Oak Ridge, going 12 for 18 en route to 24 points in addition to five boards and three steals. The dominant performance gave Daigle a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylee Jameson, who went 5 of 11 on her way to 11 points and five rebounds.
Oak Ridge smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive rebounds in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, College Park unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell to Conroe 45-40.
Despite the loss, College Park saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Valentina Campos went 5 for 10 en route to 12 points and three steals. Gretchen Wright was another key player, putting up six points.
College Park's defeat dropped their record down to 15-9. As for Oak Ridge, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 15-14 record this season.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Oak Ridge has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 32.9 rebounds per game. However, it's not like College Park struggles in that department as they've been averaging 26.8 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Oak Ridge came up short against College Park in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, falling 44-35. Can Oak Ridge avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
