The IMG Academy Gray Ascenders's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Downey Christian Patriots at 5:30 p.m. on February 12th. IMG Academy Gray will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 370th, while Downey Christian is ranked 154th).
Last Wednesday, IMG Academy Gray was the victim of a tough 69-48 defeat at the hands of Southland Christian. IMG Academy Gray was down 48-28 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Meanwhile, Downey Christian waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 74-66 win over Southland Christian. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
IMG Academy Gray's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Downey Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.
