Bennington was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Gretna East only racked up seven.
Despite the defeat, Gretna East saw an underclassman step up: freshman Elayne Graver scored eight points and four steals. Graver is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games she's played. Taryn French was another key player, putting up seven points and five rebounds.
Bennington's win bumped their record up to 28-0. As for Gretna East, the loss snapped their winning streak at 15 games and leaves them with a 22-6 record.
