DeMotte Christian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 37 points or more this season. They blew past South Newton, posting a 47-10 win on the road. The victory was a breath of fresh air for DeMotte Christian as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Sophie Bakker was on fire: she dropped a double-double on 22 points and 14 rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of DeMotte Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Claire Bakker, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 12 rebounds.
The losses dropped Kouts to 2-8 and Westville to 4-2.
Everything came up roses for Kouts against DeMotte Christian in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 as the squad secured a 56-25 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Kouts since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
