It was a good run, but the West County Bulldogs unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They received a tough blow as they fell 59-41 to Saxony Lutheran.
It was another big night for Luke Eggemeyer, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and ten rebounds for Saxony Lutheran. Eggemeyer has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last 15 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Owen Bucheit, who scored 11 points.
West County's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Saxony Lutheran, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Jefferson the next time they take the court. Saxony Lutheran will host Jefferson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while West County will host them at 7:30 p.m. on February 12th.
