The Victory College Prep Bulldogs will head out on the road to square off against the Franklin County Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Victory College Prep will be strutting in after a victory while Franklin County will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Thursday, Victory College Prep strolled past Central Christian Academy with points to spare, taking the game 60-46. The victory was just what Victory College Prep needed coming off of a 73-35 loss in their prior game.
Franklin County suffered their closest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They fell just short of Jac-Cen-Del by a score of 44-42. Franklin County has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite their defeat, Franklin County saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Quinn Gilman, who scored eight points, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Carson Allen, who scored ten points.
Victory College Prep's victory bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Franklin County, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.
Victory College Prep suffered a grim 52-31 defeat to Franklin County in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Can Victory College Prep avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
