There's no place like home for Golden Plains, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They secured a 37-33 W over the Western Plains Bobcats on Saturday. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Bobcats recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Western Plains' loss came despite strong showings from Kalihan Flax and Madelyn Kraus. Flax shot 4-for-7 from long range and almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine boards, while Kraus posted nine points and five rebounds. Flax continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

Golden Plains pushed their record up to 10-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.3 points over those games. As for Western Plains, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-8.

Looking ahead, Golden Plains will host Hill City on Tuesday. As for Western Plains, they will head out to take on Tescott at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Western Plains is facing Tescott at the right time seeing as Tescott is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
