Anna Duvall continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Rivercrest, scoring 25 points along with seven assists and three steals. Those seven assists set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexis Carey, who scored nine points.
Daingerfield's defeat was their sixth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-7. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.3 points per game. As for Rivercrest, their victory bumped their record up to 7-14.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Daingerfield will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Jefferson at 4:00 p.m. on December 28th. Jefferson presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Daingerfield in Texas (Jefferson is ranked 455th, while Daingerfield is ranked 1353rd). Rivercrest will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against North Hopkins at 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday. North Hopkins is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
