The Central Wildcats will be home for the holidays to greet the Lawrence County Red Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Central is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home dating back to last season.
Last Friday, Central took a serious blow against Brooks, falling 49-18. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Central has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Lawrence County had just enough and edged Hatton out 46-44 on Monday.
Lawrence County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kaiden Wear led the charge by scoring ten points. Another player making a difference was Braylon Dame, who scored 14 points.
Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Lawrence County, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
Central came up short against Lawrence County in their previous meeting back in November, falling 61-52. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Lawrence County's Zander Keepers, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds. Now that Central knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
