Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only The Out-of-Door Academy Thunder walked away with it. They were the clear victor by a 41-21 margin over St. Edward's. That's another feather in the cap for Out-of-Door Academy, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Out-of-Door Academy found their leader in underclassman Allen Clark, who rushed for 210 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 9.5 yards per carry, and also threw for 41 yards and a touchdown while completing 100% of his passes. Clark was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 50 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Meyers, who gained 103 total yards and a touchdown.
Several Pirates players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nate Sparkman, who threw for 191 yards and two touchdowns.
The victory makes it two in a row for Out-of-Door Academy and bumps their season record up to 5-5. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 17 points. As for St. Edward's, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.
Out-of-Door Academy will face off against Lighthouse Private Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Lighthouse Private Christian Academy is ranked 500th, while Out-of-Door Academy is ranked 483rd). St. Edward's does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
