McCrory led 2A Region 3 in scoring this week after putting up 48 points on Augusta.
Salem's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Dillon Turner threw for 114 and one touchdown and Marcus Cagle had 69 yards receiving. On the ground J.J. Gray chipped in 123 yards. Nathan King helped Salem's passing attack out by catching one ball for 21 yards.
Hunter Medling made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Greyhounds topped Cross County. The defensive lineman grabbed two sacks.
Salem's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Greyhounds feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Turner has thrown for 967 yards and 13 touchdowns this season, while Heath Goodman has 21 catches for 276 yards. Gray leads the league in rushing with 1089 yards.
The Thunderbirds made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 12,700 from 12,933. The improvement came about via a 42-16 victory over Cross County last week.
