The Burlington City Blue Devils's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They lost to Bordentown at home by a decisive 66-51 margin. Burlington City was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Bordentown apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bordentown to victory, but perhaps none more so than Myles Hansford, who scored 13 points along with six steals. Those six steals set a new season-high mark for him. Max Martin was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Burlington City bumped their record down to 1-10 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Bordentown, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Burlington City and Pemberton will face off at 5:15 p.m. on January 8th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Bordentown, they will be playing at home against Trenton Catholic Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Trenton Catholic Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Bordentown in New Jersey (Trenton Catholic Academy is ranked 115th, while Bordentown is ranked 282nd).
