Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Bancroft-Rosalie beat Logan View/Scribner-Snyder 43-37. The win made it back-to-back wins for Bancroft-Rosalie.
It was another big night for Makenna James, who scored seven points along with nine rebounds and eight steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kenidee McClain, who scored five points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Tri County Northeast earned a 60-51 win over Omaha Nation on Saturday.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tri County Northeast to victory, but perhaps none more so than Rhyanne Mackling, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Briley Anderson, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Bancroft-Rosalie is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Tri County Northeast, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-13.
Keep an eye on the arc in Tuesday's game: Bancroft-Rosalie have been dynamite from deep this season, having made 38.4% of their threes per game. It's a different story for Tri County Northeast, though, as they've only made 29% of their threes this season. Given Bancroft-Rosalie's sizable advantage in that area, Tri County Northeast will need to find a way to close that gap.
Bancroft-Rosalie took their victory against Tri County Northeast in their previous meeting on Tuesday by a conclusive 63-39. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bancroft-Rosalie since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
