The Pawnee Heights Tigers lost against the South Gray Rebels back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Pawnee Heights took a serious blow against the Rebels, falling 90-27. While losing is never fun, Pawnee Heights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 323rd, while the Rebels are ranked 25th).
Despite the loss, Pawnee Heights still got an impressive performance from Davin Hamby, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds.
Pawnee Heights has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for South Gray, their win bumped their record up to 14-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pawnee Heights will take on the Spartans at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Gray, they will stay at home for another game and welcome the Buffaloes at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th. Meade is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
