Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hearne). They strolled past the Marlin Bulldogs with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 77-60. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won seven in a row.

Hearne's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kellen Bowser, who went 11-for-18 en route to 24 points along with eight boards and five steals. Bowser is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Cristian Robinson was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 18 points and nine rebounds.

Hearne smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards every time they've taken the court this season.

Hearne's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Marlin, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.

Hearne will take on Lexington at 4:40 p.m. on Thursday. As for Marlin, they will be taking part in a tournament against West at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs' defense better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 50.7 points per game this season.
