Winning is just a little bit easier when you outrebound your opponent 16 to 6 on the offensive boards, a fact the Cypress Bay Lightning proved on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 42-24 victory over Cooper City. Given Cypress Bay's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 98th, while Cooper City is ranked 358th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Looky hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Sofia Gonano, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Cooper City's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Eliana Reese, who scored four points along with two steals and two blocks, and Isabella Riollana who scored four points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
The win makes it two in a row for Cypress Bay and bumps their season record up to 17-3. As for Cooper City, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.
