Acadiana Christian suffered their biggest loss since December 21, 2023 on Monday. Their rough 74-51 defeat to Christian Home Educators Fellowship might stick with them for a while. Acadiana Christian has struggled against Christian Home Educators Fellowship recently, as their match on Monday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Acadiana Christian's loss came about despite a quality game from Ty Olivier, who scored 29 points along with two steals. That was a full 56.9% of Acadiana Christian's points, marking the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Jude Wilder, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds and four blocks.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Shreveport HomeSchool Sports' good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell to Word of God Academy 38-33.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Isaac Gilman, who scored 14 points. Aidan Armstrong was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six rebounds.
Acadiana Christian's record is now 13-7. Shreveport HomeSchool Sports' record now sits at 15-13.
Acadiana Christian beat Shreveport HomeSchool Sports 35-25 in their previous matchup back in November of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for Acadiana Christian since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
