The McLean County Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by Forest Park 55-26. McLean County was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-9.
Several Cougars players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kenadi Level, who scored eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Lannum, who scored five points.
McLean County struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
McLean County's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Forest Park, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 4-9 record this season.
McLean County won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Evansville Bosse at 5:15 p.m. on December 22nd. Evansville Bosse is hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses. Forest Park will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Crawford County at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Crawford County presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Forest Park in Indiana (Crawford County is ranked 73rd, while Forest Park is ranked 275th).
