The Compass Charter Aviators will head out on the road to square off against the North Star Huskies at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Compass Charter is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
Compass Charter suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 60-28 loss at the hands of Nampa Christian. Compass Charter was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-10.
Despite the loss, Compass Charter had strong showings from Reanna Byers, who scored 15 points along with two steals, and KK Karel, who scored five points. Byers hasn't dropped below two steals for ten straight games.
Meanwhile, North Star was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 37-31 to Vision. North Star has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Compass Charter has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for North Star, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-10.
Compass Charter came out on top in a nail-biter against North Star when the teams last played back in December of 2023, sneaking past 32-30. The rematch might be a little tougher for Compass Charter since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
