Winning is just a little bit easier when you outrebound your opponent 9 to 1 on the offensive boards, a fact the Robertsdale Golden Bears proved on Thursday. They blew past Elberta, posting a 42-3 victory at home. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Robertsdale also won the last time the pair played back in November.
Robertsdale found their leader in underclassman Brooklynn Martnez, who scored 13 points along with 4 steals. Another player making a difference was Laila Cooper, who scored 4 points along with 8 rebounds.
Robertsdale's win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Elberta, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Robertsdale will stay at home for another game and welcome Milton at 6:00 p.m. on December 8th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (Milton is ranked 303rd in Florida, while Robertsdale is ranked 287th in Alabama). Elberta won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Northview at 5:30 p.m. on December 8th. Northview comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
