The Bloomington Bobcats/Lady Cats will head out on the road to square off against the Weimar Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Bloomington sitting on ten straight victories and Weimar on four.
Last Friday, Bloomington didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Ganado, but they still walked away with a 50-44 victory.
Sean Darby continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 18 rebounds. He hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for 14 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Victor Reyes, who scored 12 points along with three steals and two blocks.
Weimar proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 40) but on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Ganado 41-38. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Weimar has posted yet this season.
Bloomington has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. As for Weimar, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-9.
Things could have been worse for Bloomington, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 49-33 loss to Weimar in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. Can Bloomington avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
