Jones is 1-9 against Sinton since March of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Trojans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Pirates at 7:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Having struggled with eight defeats in a row, Jones turned things around against Rockport-Fulton on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Pirates. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Trojans have posted since February 26th.

Tyler Lang was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in February of 2025. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Luke Roznovsky, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That stolen base marked the first that he has snagged this season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Sinton, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They won by a run and slipped past Ingleside 2-1.
Julian Suarez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up nine Ks.
On the hitting side, Connor Davis was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI.
Sinton's victory bumped their record up to 9-5-1. As for Jones, the win was their first on the road, bumping their record up to 3-10-1.
Jones couldn't quite get it done against Sinton in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 as they fell 4-0. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
