St. John's Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Patrick Henry Academy Patriots, falling 66-45. One positive for the Cavaliers, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Patrick Henry Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Laney Futch out in front who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 boards. Futch is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Emilee Stanley, who went 7 of 8 on her way to 14 points in addition to eight steals and five boards.

St. John's Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Patrick Henry Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.

St. John's Christian Academy will head out to face off against Burke at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Patrick Henry Academy, they and Andrew Jackson Academy will face off at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played.
