The Rolesville Rams will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against the D.H. Conley Vikings at 6:00 p.m. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Monday, Rolesville sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Stow-Munroe Falls. The win was just what Rolesville needed coming off of an 11-2 loss in their prior game.
Rolesville's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Eli Kamm, who went 1-for-3 with a triple and an RBI.
Meanwhile, D.H. Conley had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.7 runs), and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They walked away with a 14-11 win over the Bears. Both teams can probably skip cardio this week after making that many trips around the bases.
Nolan Winfield made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Winfield was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Rooke Knittle was incredible, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Davis Bradley, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, a triple, and an RBI.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both teams have some strikeout artists on the roster. Rolesville has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.6 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like D.H. Conley struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.9 per game. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
