The Parish Hill Pirates will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Weaver Beavers at 4:00 p.m. on February 9th. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Wednesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Parish Hill beat Capital Prep 35-31.
Parish Hill's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gracie Pearl, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Hannah Becker, who scored six points along with nine rebounds and four blocks.
Meanwhile, Weaver humbled East Catholic with a 43-12 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Weaver.
Parish Hill's victory bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Weaver, they pushed their record up to 8-6 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
Parish Hill opened the new year with a less-than-successful 45-38 loss to Weaver. Can Parish Hill avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
