The Nease Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Riverside Generals at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Riverside took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Nease, who comes in off a win.
Nease put the finishing touches on their sixth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They claimed a resounding 53-14 victory over Keystone Heights at home. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-6.
Audrey Rollins and McKenna Owens were among the main playmakers for Nease as the former scored 11 points along with five steals and the latter scored ten points along with seven steals and five rebounds. Rollins continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sage Pytel, who scored five points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Riverside's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 34-33 to Andrew Jackson. Riverside has not had much luck with Andrew Jackson recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Nease now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Riverside, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.
Nease didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Riverside in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 41-35 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Riverside's Kennis Gray, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
