The Westview Wildcats fell victim to the Sunset Apollos''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They took a serious blow against the Apollos, falling 28-0. Having soared to a lofty 40 points in the game before, Westview couldn't push the score so high this time.
Drew Nees looked great while leading his team to the win, rushing for 29 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 148 yards and a touchdown while completing 100% of his passes. Blake Hurley was another key contributor, picking up 96 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Westview's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Sunset, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Westview does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Sunset will look to defend their home field on Friday against Sandy at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Oregon (Sandy is ranked 32nd, while Sunset is ranked 21st).
